The doubts were horrible at this point. I was constantly stressing out and overanalyzing everything. I thought it was going too fast - compared to the first fifteen chapters which all take place in a week, the sixth day actually has six full chapters dedicated to it! I couldn't focus much on the city, first of all because we all know what a city is like and second, I couldn't go far without having to choose whether supernatural creatures are real or not.

These two chapters (34, 35) felt like walking on eggshells while playing that Squid Games glass game. I had to wrap it all correctly, add all the final touches (I was checking my notes time and time again) because one bad move would destroy what I've been building up for FOUR years. I wanted to do everything correctly but I also wanted to get to the end quickly, it's been enough years since I started it and I was getting sick of it. I'm the type of person who gets new story ideas every few months, I needed to move on!

They're the two plot points that didn't change throughout the different versions of the story: Revealing Luna's partner didn't actually die and the return to Hometown, which only made it more nervewracking. I've visualized it so clearly for so long, yet the characters and the setting were different! One couldn't help but wonder if this was one of those moments where you have to kill your darlings, get rid of scenes you thought about since the beginning. I had to step back and ask myself if it was still necessary for the story.

It's good that Luna had a good friend by her side and a stable life to fall on upon such a great shock. Unlike the first time, she wouldn't be an easy prey for despair.
