Luna arrived shortly before the train and joined the group's usual silence. The people chosen to live in the fields knew each other by now, yet the atmosphere suggested a strong lack of interest in small talk that everyone appreciated.

Once on the train, the tall woman chose a seat, looking down. Influenced by the new emotions and severe lack of sleep, Luna eventually mustered enough bravery to drop the uninterested act and check who was traveling to town on such an average day. The farthest away from her were a couple, the latest addition to the Outlands. If love was anywhere to be found in the farming grounds, it was in their house. Or they shared a wonderful friendship.
A woman named Vanessa, around her seventies, sat across the couple. She was Luna's nearest neighbor. A life dedicated to the study of all plants. Thanks to this feat, authorities approved her request to live by herself. With her kind, patient heart, Vanessa was the reason the brunette held any knowledge of vegetable care, all taught via extensive letters. They often exchanged a basket of goodies, and the amateur's tomatoes eventually got the expert's approval!
Sitting near Luna was a girl of unknown name and had her blonde hair cut in a messy bob. This one was full of determination, according to her partner. She joined the hunter team three moon cycles prior and rapidly became the best performing person in the profession. The tall woman itched to ask her about the city trips, find out whether she was an accomplice as well.
The passengers of the other train cars hid behind a blurry face, so Luna decided to pay no attention. One thing in common: They all avoided looking out the windows. Not because the city buildings, sticking out of the fog as they stood, were eerie even from the other side of the Fortezza Dei Sogni lake; but the general dread of what might happen if they so much as thought about supernatural beings plagued their superstitious minds.
