Lionesses wouldn't wear makeup and heels to go hunt.

The concept of femininity is entirely capitalist, aside from misogynistic. Not only does it demand women and girls to be something we're not, but by definition, it excludes those of us who don't waste money to obtain the 'right' to call ourselves women. I've never been interested in anything 'feminine'. I've never worn makeup or dresses. Even in schools where we had to wear uniforms, I was one of the first girls not to wear a skirt. That doesn't make me any less of a woman.

Worst of all, men just don't know what you are if you don't wear this drag. The amount of times I've been asked 'what are you?' by a boy is illogical.

My identity is not tied to a set of characteristics that only benefit and arouse men.  They want femininity because they want to tell us apart from other men, to freely treat us as lesser without being annoyed by the reminder of our humanity.

Too bad my uterus didn't come with an interest to make myself an object to be consumed with all five senses. Because of this, I guess I've never been a woman, and I'll never be except for those who don't define women by desirability, but by the separation of sexes for reproduction, as women are not defined by a set of words that were crafted to trap and harm us. The definition of woman, or womanhood for thet matter, is not misogynistic unless you make it be.
